QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
When should I seek therapy?
There are certain times when we may need help addressing problems and issues that cause us emotional distress or make us feel overwhelmed. When you or your child are having difficulties at home, school or work, when your ability to concentrate is diminished or when your level of pain becomes uncomfortable, it’s time to seek counseling. If you are questioning whether to seek counseling, that’s probably the best indicator that you should. Trust your instincts.
How long will I be in therapy?
As a therapist, my job is to help you resume your life in a healthy, positive way. Our time together might be brief if you are looking for support during a transition you may be experiencing. It depends on the issue, the support needed and how each individual progresses.
Is therapy confidential?
Absolutely! Nothing we discuss will be talked about without your written permission. However, in certain situations and if warrented, the law requires information to be revealed without written permission or consent.
